Watchmaker DNA Library Prep Kit with Fragmentation
The Watchmaker DNA Library Prep Kit with Fragmentation from Watchmaker Genomics is designed to prepare DNA libraries for next generation sequencing (NGS) on Illumina sequencing platforms. The kit uses enzymatic DNA fragmentation, end repair, A tailing and adapter ligation to convert DNA into sequencing ready libraries. Compatible with a broad range of DNA inputs, including genomic DNA, DNA extracted from formalin fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue, plasmid DNA and long PCR products, it supports applications such as whole genome sequencing, whole exome sequencing, targeted sequencing and variant detection. Its streamlined workflow helps minimise sequencing bias and artefacts while supporting high library complexity and uniform coverage.
This protocol semi automates DNA library preparation for up to 24 samples using the Myra Liquid Handling System. The system automates supported reagent dispensing, reaction setup and clean up steps, while any required heating steps are performed externally using a thermal cycler. By automating pipetting intensive steps, the workflow helps reduce manual handling and the risk of human error, improve reproducibility and increase overall laboratory productivity.
