ONT Microbial Amplicon Barcoding Kit 24 V14
The Microbial Amplicon Barcoding Kit 24 V14 by Oxford Nanopore Technologies is designed for the preparation of multiplexed microbial amplicon sequencing libraries for applications such as bacterial and fungal profiling. The kit supports sequencing of targeted 16S and ITS regions, which contain conserved regions suitable for universal primer binding alongside variable regions that provide information for microbial identification and classification. The kit includes 24 unique barcodes, allowing multiple samples to be individually identified and pooled for sequencing in a single run.
This protocol semi-automates Microbial Amplicon Barcoding Kit 24 V14 for up to 24 libraries on the Myra where the 96 Well Magnetic Station is used for the clean-up steps and the heating steps are performed on an external thermal cycler. By automating the pipetting-intensive steps, human error can be eliminated, thereby providing high-quality reproducible results, and increasing overall productivity.
