MagSi-DNA Plant CLS

This protocol is used for automated extraction of genomic DNA from plant samples using the MagSi-DNA Plant CLS magnetic bead-based extraction kit. The workflow is suitable for a broad range of plant tissues, including cotyledons, leaves and seeds, and is intended for downstream applications such as PCR based genotyping and DNA sequencing.

The workflow can process up to 24 samples per run. Reagent volumes from the MagSi-DNA Plant CLS kit have been miniaturised for use on the Myra Liquid Handling System, reducing reagent consumption and the overall cost per DNA extraction while maintaining the required extraction chemistry and workflow performance.

The Myra protocol improves workflow consistency, reduce hands on time and minimise operator dependent variability, supporting consistent sample processing from lysate input through to purified DNA output.
