EuSep Screen

The Eurospital Diagnostic EuSep Screen workflows support real-time PCR detection of clinically relevant bacterial pathogens. EuSep Screen Lattanti enables detection of K. pneumoniae, E. coli, S. agalactiae and L. monocytogenes, while EuSep Screen Plus supports detection of N. meningitidis, S. pneumoniae and H. influenzae for molecular testing applications. The assays are compatible with a range of validated real-time PCR platforms, including Applied Biosystems, Bio-Rad CFX and Opus, and Qiagen Rotor-Gene systems.

The Myra Liquid Handling System automates assay preparation for EuSepScreen workflows, supporting up to 16 assays on Myra and up to 32 assays on Myra 9 systems. Automated reagent rehydration, reaction setup, sample dispensing and control preparation reduce hands-on time and improve reproducibility. The workflow supports flexible sample configuration for both EuSepScreen Plus and Lattanti assays, including automated preparation of negative controls, positive controls and sample replicates prior to real-time PCR amplification, which is performed separately in accordance with the Eurospital EuSepScreen workflow.
