Overview
MagSi-NGSPREP Plus is a SPRI based paramagnetic bead reagent developed for the purification and size selective binding of double stranded DNA fragments, typically ranging from approximately 80 to 1000 base pairs. It enables efficient removal of contaminants such as excess primers, nucleotides, enzymes, salts, and other reaction components commonly present after PCR or library preparation steps.
The reagent supports both non-selective DNA clean up and tuneable size selection by adjusting the bead to sample volume ratio, allowing users to retain or exclude specific fragment sizes depending on the downstream application. This flexibility makes MagSi-NGSPREP Plus suitable for a wide range of genomic workflows including NGS library preparation, PCR product purification, and fragment size selection.
By automating the clean up process on the Myra Liquid Handling System, this protocol delivers a standardised workflow that improves consistency, reduces hands on time, and minimises operator dependent variability. The protocol supports processing of up to 24 samples using the Myra 96 Well Magnetic Station, with reagent volumes and incubation times configurable to accommodate most MagSi-NGSPREP Plus based workflows.
