Overview

Illumina DNA Prep features a fast, user-friendly workflow for common sequencing applications, such as amplicon sequencing, De Novo sequencing, shotgun sequencing, and whole-genome sequencing. The on-bead tagmentation chemistry reduces total library prep time. By halving the volumes used, this workflow can provide additional benefits, including significant cost reductions on reagents and consumables, conservation of limited sample material and increased efficiency in experimental design.

This protocol semi-automates the Illumina DNA Prep for up to 24 libraries on the Myra where the 96 Well Magnetic Station is used for the clean-up steps and the heating steps are performed on an external thermal cycler. The recommended volumes for each reagent have been halved to reduce run time and reagent costs. By automating the pipetting-intensive steps, human error can be eliminated, thereby providing high-quality reproducible results, and increasing overall productivity.

More information on the protocol can be found via Download the Protocol PDF.
