Qubit Assay Setup
The Qubit Fluorometer is a high-sensitivity benchtop instrument designed for accurate
quantification of DNA, RNA, and protein using fluorescent dyes that selectively bind to the target
molecule. Unlike spectrophotometric methods, Qubit avoids overestimation due to contaminants
such as free nucleotides, salts, or proteins, making it ideal for NGS library quality control where
precise input concentrations are critical for optimal cluster density and sequencing efficiency.
This script enables the automated preparation of Qubit working solutions and sample mixtures using
the Myra Liquid Handling System. Each sample is transferred from its source plate and combined
with the appropriate volume of Qubit reagent mix into a destination plate or strip tube suitable for
Qubit measurement. Myra ensures consistent pipetting accuracy, reduces hands-on time, and
eliminates human error—making it ideal for labs preparing large NGS runs or performing routine QC
on numerous libraries.
