Two real-time PCRs detecting the presence of West Nile Virus (WNV) lineage 1 and 2 strains in cerebrospinal fluid was established and validated on the Magnetic Induction Cycler (MIC). The cerebrospinal fluid collected from patients hospitalized in diverse services of the military hospital of Tunisia. The study indicates the establishment of rapid and sensitive RT-PCR assays for the detection of WNV lineages.
