The study compared three different methods of determining insertion deletion polymorphisms; HRM, ddPCR and microfluidic electrophoresis. HRM proved to be the most robust approach to detecting insertion deletion polymorphisms due to its closed tube approach and speed. The group also compared the Mic to two other real-time platforms; Rotor-Gene 6000 (Corbett Research) and CFX Connect (Bio-Rad). The results demonstrated that rotor-based systems resulted in better special differentiation of alleles with the Mic providing the greatest separation.Read More
